help with subs

im running 2 12w3v2s sealed (1.25 each-inverted) off a JL 500.1 running at 2ohms. My gains are only a third up and my subs move to full excursion. Shouldnt they be able to handle more power like 600 watts each like JL says? They get ok loud. They sound like they could be pushed more though, but when you look at them, theyre really moving. whats the deal?

box is built well with no leaks. what would happen if i cranked them up more?

also how do you think the brahma and L7 compare? im thinking off getting 2 of one of those for my next setup.

Did you remember to reverse the polarity of the subs since you have them inverted?

Brahma hands down. L7's can get very loud, but the brahma's xmax is more than 2x that of the L7. Brahma will also sound a lot better in the right enclosure.

yea..the brahma has more xmax..BUT the L7 has more cone area.so it doesn't need the xmax...

yet the brahma would probably yield better sq, while providing close to the same spl..

EDIT ~ Oh, and how much space do you think you would be able to give up for a box? A normal SUV will have around 6-9 cubes below the top of the back seat line.
