help with pioneer deh-p5800mp hu

Ive read the manuals and im still confused on what I have to change and what output to connect the amp to. I will have rear speakers connected through the wiring harness. I want to be able to use the subwoofer controls on the hu but them not affect my rear speakers.

The sub controls are not going to affect your rear speakers............... the rear speakers will be connected to the rear speaker outputs on your HU, the sub will be connected to the sub RCA on your HU.

Sub/NF output on the back of the deck. I think on the 5800, the jack is directly on the back of the radio, Right side IIRC...

ok thats what i thought but i was confused a little. Another question...since the the hu has a lp filter and so does my amp what should I do?
