HELP with pioneer deh-9200R

I have a pioneer DEH-9200R, and it does not have an aux. input.

It has the pbus input for a cd changer, and I bought a patch cable to turn the pbus into rca input so I could use my ipod. I do not have the manual for the cd player, and can not figure out how to make the radio recognize the ipod, it seems to be stuck on searching for a cd changer and doesnt realize that I have something plugged in.

help please - how do I get the player to recognize the ipod
