Setup: JBL MS-8, 4 channel amp, Mono Amp

4 Channel Amp: JBL MS-A1004 100 Watt x 4-Channel Amplifier

Front Speakers: 6.5 Components

Rear Speakers: 6.5s

I turned my car on this morning, no sound coming from front speakers so I did some messing around and testing.

1. My rear speakers work on channel 1&2, and channel 3&4

2. My front speakers do not work on channel 1&2 and do not work on channel 3&4

3. This leads to to say the amp is fine, the speakers are the problem.

4. I flipped the RCAs around and this didn't make a difference so RCAs should be okay?

How could both speakers just magically go out? Yes I checked the faders and all. The speakers do not sound crackly, just ZERO sound.

What should I look into next? Im not the smartest tool in the shed. Thanks for any help!!!

****IF this matters, the way it was installed was with a factory HU on a 2015 honda fit. They used the Ms-8 wire harness, ran to the ms-8. RCA cables from the ms-8 to the amps.

Did you try the front components separately? Right side by themselves, then Left side by themselves? If one side is shorted them it might shut down both pairs of channels.

Get a DMM and measure the resistance between the speaker +/- leads at the amp outputs after disconnecting them.

Also measure resistance between each speaker lead and chassis ground.
