First Post! Anyways, I am about to get my tax return in about 3 weeks and am thinking about buying myself a new system for my 2005 silverado extended cab that is currently completely stock. Here is what I am thinking about buying:
Diamond Audio D661s
Orion HP-2800(To Power Front Speakers)
2 Diamond Audio D612D4
Orion HCCA-D2400 (to power subs @ 1ohm)
Subthump Ultra Deep Enclosure
Deck will be either a Pioneer 9800BT, or a Premier P880PRS
I have a bunch of questions about this setup:
1- Are these good amp/speaker combos? Anything better for the price?
2- I prefer the sound of a sealed enclosure. Will this one be a good fit for the subs?
3- I plan on disconnecting the stock rear 4X6. Should I replace these or do without rear fill?
4- The only place I am going to be able to mount the amps are behind the rear seat. Will heat be an issue? Any solutions to this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am a complete noob when It comes to car audio. I have been doing research for about a week now and will be using this system for sound quality over SPL. Thanks in advance!
