help with my sonoma

I just bought a 98 gmc sonoma and the factory speakers don't sound so good. I think it has 4x6 plates in the dash and 6.5's in the doors, are there anything cheap i could run off a headunit that would sound good? I have about $170 in my paypal to spend for both... Also is there a decent sub i should run, i have a directed 600 rms amp to power it with and would like a 8 or 10" to run in a ported enclosure behind the seat in a regular cab so it needs to be somewhat slim too...

just curious what model 600 you have...... there are many options for speakers. are they gonna be off a head unit, or amp? as for a sub box, this one sorked out awesome, and still large enough to work for some 12's....

i have a 95 s10 so i can help out with any suggestions you need .4x6 in the dash is right also 6.5 in the doors.there are alot of speaker for you.i would look for components for the doors, and if you can find some plates for the dash ,that would be perfect.as for woofers or woofer,you could use a 12 ,but the 10 will give you more room for you and a box.is your amp stable to 2 ohm or 1 ohm

ok cool thanks, i think im just going to use head unit for power.. i was thinking about getting 2 polk db10s, are those decent? im not sure on the amp model off the top of my head but its 2 channel and 1 ohm stable.

the polks are a low end woofer that sound ok.dont know if they will take the power tho.and you need to know if the amp is 1 ohm stable mono or stereo.that will tell you what woofers you need .single voice coil or dual

Curious to what speakers you've put in the doors. I know the mounting depth in my doors (96 s10) *****!

i know the amps 1 ohm stable and is a bridgeable 2 channel.. does a 600d sound right?
