Help with my Rockford P3 10' Set up

Hey I havent been on here in years! but i finally decided to put a system back in my car, right now im running two Rockford Fosgate Punch P3 P3D410 10-Inch 400-Watt Subwoofer - 4 Ohm subs in a sealed enclosure. I have a Autotek AXL1050.2 amp powering them AXL Series 2-Channel Class AB Car Amplifier

Max Power Rating:

4 ohms: 250 watts x 2 chan.

2 ohms: 500 watts x 2 chan.

Bridged, 4 ohms: 1000 watts x 1 chan.

I want my system to hit harder do you think i should buy a better amp? box? or get new subs?

Never pay attention to max ratings. I think ct sounds makes a mono amp that's either 800-900wrms. And the box plays an important part in the output of your subs. It all depends on your budget and space that you are willing to sacrifice. Some will bash the subs, but if you already have them, might as well get the best out of them. Ct sounds is on the vendor page, you can also check the classifieds, decent deals often pop up on there. And you maybe be better off with a ported box, but that comes down to your preferences and the type of music you listen to. I have run sealed and ported, I love output of my dc lvl 4 12 ported but know I have a mb quart pwe15 in a sealed, kind of loving that too. It's audio technix on the vendor page but cthedinger is the vendor. Haven't used any of his stuff, but those that do, have had only good things to say about him/product.

I mostly listen to rap/r&B I like how the 10's hit every note compared to my friends JL 12's but I just want them to hit harder. Im thinking that amp is pretty crappy, although it has a decent punch to it you can feel it in your chest when it all the way up

My next set up will be ten's. just be careful with that gain. And like I said, peruse the vendor page and the classies, you may catch a good deal. You may want to check with mylows10, he may have a small american bass mono that would give those subs clean power. Just my .02. Good luck in what ever you decide, I live for this chit...lol.
