Help with mono amp

Hello, I have a pr of TC prototype subs. Basicaly thier RL-i 8s, but they have a different VC. Thier 5.8ohm single VC. I would like to find a very high quality mono amp for them. Looking at a Diamond D7 or a JL 500/1. I have about $300 to spend. Would like them to get around 350/400 each. Thier going into sealed enclosures built into the side panels of my car. Prefer a amp with a built in sub-sonic filter and gain control/ not a boost control. I'm using my factory 6disc head unit, AudioContol EQ, PPI DCX1000.4, Dayton Mids, Vifa tweeters, TC subs. Small, simple, and clean.
