ill be building a new box pretty soon and want to get my math rite b4 i move forward.

ok, trying to do a 4.5 cubes( or larger) tuned to 38 (using a 6" aero). With a 15" Hdc3 on a sd 1500d in a trunk.

the max dimensions im tryin to do are: 33w x 17h x 20d.

33 - 1.5 = 31.5

17 - 1.5 = 15.5

20- 1.5 = 18.5

31.5 x 15.5 x 18.5 = 9032.625 / 1728 = 5.23

5.23 - .23 (sub disp.) - port disp.(dont know yet but gon say .17) =

5.23 - .23 -.17 = 4.83 cubes

still need to figure out port displacement

how does this look??

port length is going to be adjustable to your tuning. the volume of the port is the area times length. the area is (PI radius squared...) so 3.14 times 3 inches times 3 inches... 28.26 square inches is the area. then multiply that by length and you have a volume in cubic inches. divide by 1728 and you have the volume in cubic feet
