help with home network for computer...

i have a wireless router for 2 of the 3 the third is just wired out of the router....i got 2 of the computers to accept each other but the third cant see either of the others.....

All 3 computers will all need to be on the same workgroup. Another thing would be to put the network into your trusted zones on your firewall, or disable your firewall completely. When I say firewall, I mean the firewall on the computer, not on the router. This may include Windows ICF (I'm assuming all computers are on windows XP), sygate, ZoneAlarm, etc....

The next step is to set up a shared folder on each computer. Go ahead and try this out and see if it works.

basically want to share the C drive of all the computers on each of the computers.

well here is what you do, im assuming you have Win. XP

1) go to "My Network Places"

2) on the left panel there should be "Set up a home or small office network", click on it.

3) go through this wizard

4) create the disk at the end and run it on the other computers

5) right click on the C: drive icon in "My Computer" and click on "sharing and security"

or

5) if you dont want to share the whole C: drive then right click on anything that you want to share and "sharing and security should still be their"

the rest should be obvious.

This would work, except for the fact that it would enable ICF. You would then need to either configure ICF to allow file and printer sharing, or disable it completely. This also does not configure any other software firewalls that you may be running.

That site should help you out quite a bit
