Help with dual 4 ohm DVC subs wired for 1 ohm

What is the difference between these two methods? Is one right and one wrong or just 2 ways of doing the same thing?

Looks like trying to get a 1 ohm load. Run all the positives together and all the negatives together. You can do it either way
