i read the big 3 thread but im having trouble getting it done. I've got an '01 pontiac grand am SE. the alts up top and easy to access, but the wires for it are underneath it and go through the engine like veins. Should i get out he swingset to lift out the engine just to replace a wire? I'm actually thinking about selling this car just to buy one that would be easier to perform the big 3 on lol. The current power wire coming off the alt looks like 16 gauge, would upgrading this be a crucial part in helping with my dimming problem?

read the Big-3 tutorial again...

stop thinking you have to travel along the same path. You don't

Take the shortest path you can that's safe (doesn't touch engine, fan, etc). I also encase mine in flex tube. Use a block on your battery and connect the original and your big three.
