Help with amplifier settings

Hi

Im trying to set my "gain setting" and get the correct voltage but I have a few settings on my mono amp that Im not sure where I should set.

Here are the knobs that Im not sure where to set:

1. LEVEL 8V ~ 0.3V

2. SUB SONIC FILTER 20Hz ~ 55Hz

3. LP FREQ 40Hz ~ 300Hz

4. BASS BOOST 0db ~ +12db

5. BASS FREQ 30Hz ~ 65Hz

Any advice would be appreciated!!

Actually, I changed decks to a Pioneer Premier DEH-P780MP

Would those numbers change any that you listed? I think the deck voltage is 4 or 5 volt. So should it be set more than 2 volts ?

According to instructions I got with a car stereo amp you should set the gain of the amp at minium then turn the HU volume control up to the point of distortion and back off slightly. Then adjust your amp gain for how loud you want the speakers to play. If you're driving your door speakers with the amplifier in your HU just adjust the gain of your subwoofer amp to provide the bass level you want. Far as crossover settings go adjust to where the subwoofer blends in best with the rest of the system. I've got mine set somewhere between 100-120 Hz and the subs blend in nicely. Almost don't know they are there until you crank the volume up.
