Help with Alt wine

my friend just blew his engine in his 4-runner and had a new one put in. they also added a net alt. now he gets a little alt wine. nothing really bad but it is definitley there. he has a real small battery ground. if he made that bigger would that help? or should he relocate. take a wire brush and clean some of the paint of the ground spot? anything would help

Do the Big 3. I'm gonna guess that the engine block isn't grounded to the chasis.

all i know is the battery is grounded to the inside of the wheel well. and he by far doesn;t have a good sound system or an expencive one so the Big 3 would be a waste
