Help with Alpine Type X

Hello all you Audiophiles, asking for help from all you out there.

My son is turning 17 and i wanted to get him a sound system for his car. I bought 1 Alpine Type X (dual 4 ohms) with a ported box. The problem is I dont know what amp to buy. I was told to look at BAMF 2600/2 Power Acoustic Amp, but not sure about that. I was also told to look at Hifonics Brutus Amps, from what im told a real amp for a budget.

I want ya'll to tell me what is the best amp to power a Alpine Type X.

alpine pdx 1.1000. i have one running my type-x and they love each other.

yea i agree id reccomend the pdx1. 1000 amp, for at sub

I have a brand new 2010d brutus (im an authorized dealer) with 1 yr warranty for 330 shipped it will give the sub 1300 rms alot of ppl run them on 1000-1500 daily. the pdx amps are nice and tiny , but some ppl say they are not all that so do your research.

Im not a fan of the pdx, or the hifonics. Esp for $330. My experience with type-x's is they do not like more than 1000w esp in a ported enclosure. You could grab an Alpine MRP-m1000 for a around $220 would be a good deal.

He said budget guys, so a PDX is out of question, I would say Brutus for budget.

Not true.... I had my 2 10" X's running off a SAZ3K and they loved it....

OP- I'd look for a nice used SAZ1500

I have hifonics brutus amp powering my type r's and i think they are great for the price. I would highly recommend getting a hifonics amp over a Power Acoustic Amp.
