Before I start typing what do I need help for.. I m not good at wirings at all.. So please excuse me for my own stupidness in wiring..

I need a 4 ohm wiring diagram for my sub(Fi Q D2) to my amp (JBL 1201.1)

The amp is 2 ohm stable but it is also 4 ohm stable, so only way for me to play the sub is hooking it up to 4 ohm(since the sub is D2, not D1).. so I ll need a diagram to make the sub give out 4 ohm load to the amp..

help would be appreciated, thanks

many thanks.. (im sorry that i didnt notice it was stickied)

In this diagram I guess I am going have to split my speaker wire into individual wires to do this diagram.. Or what is best way to use the speaker wire hooking this diagram up?

p.s. I'm fussy with the cleaniness of my equipment so I like it to be wired in best and cleanest way possible lol.. so forgive me

alright guys, i got the sub wiring done.. but now i m confused about where am i supposed to hook the positive and negative wires to on the amp?

my amp has 2 sets of +/-

so it is like (+)(-)(+)(-)

I m assuming that i should hook the positive wire to the first terminal(+) and hook up the negative to the fourth terminal(-)

am i correct? let me know, i m ready to install..

With that amp, it's mono, so just connect the positive to your favorite positive terminal, and the negative to your favorite negative terminal, you're gonna get the same results... Both positives and both negatives go to the same place, the two terminals on each side just makes it easier to wire extra subs if you had them.

For simplicity, just connect it to the first negative and the first positive terminal, if you can't find a favorite...

ohhh ok, this is my first mono amp.. so thats why i was puzzled ha
I had it easy, my first mono amp came with one positive and one negative, if I f'ed that up, I would kill myself. Now I hate it, stuffing two speaker wires in that **** terminal is a f'in pain, and what's worse is that you have to tighten it with a hex wrench!!!!

Edit: Tell us how it sounds, I wanna know how well that expensive ass amp you have puts out.

it sounds pretty good.. but its not as loud as i thought it would be..

also, the bass boost is at 0.. i could crank it up to get more bass, but i was told that bass boost is bad..

but dont forget that this is 4 ohm load set up.. if it is 2 ohm, it ll be thumping hard i bet you.. but it thumps pretty good right now..
