Help - Wired up subs and amp

Hey, ive been browsing on here for awhile and just decided to join, cause i am in need of help.

I have wired up my sub and amp I THOUGHT correctly.

Well, when I trun on the car, the headunit comes on, and plays from my iPod normally, but my subs are not working. I looked at the amp (Hifonics 1600W), and the blue led lights are on, but I dont the the "power" light is (unless I just couldnt tell).

Im not sure what the problem is. I beleive it might be with my sub wiring. The box I am using has these wierd terminals. On the inside, I crimped the wire. And on the outside, you can push it down, to open up an opening. Do I just cramp the wires in there? It is pretty hard to fit in.

Okay, another question:

How do I know which hole to plug the RCA cable into? On my amp, there are 2 sets of 2 holes. One says "L" other is "R". And when it goes to the HU, which holes from there?

R is always red also known as right

there is no direction with a sub. as long as you plug one into L and the other into R you should be fine. If the power light isn't coming on, you have a problem with your power wires or remote wires. Most newbs wire the remote into the wrong wire from the HU. There are usually 2 blue wires on the HU. Double check the power before messing with the RCAs.

Alright well I crimped the wire they gave me to the blue/white wire from the manual (said blue/white was turn on). There also was a solid blue wire next to it but I didnt mess with it. Heres a video I took - View My Video

just disconnect the remote wire at the amp and jump the remote input of the amp to the b+ input of the amp and see if that works. if it does then you have a remote issue.
