help while positioning speakers

I've built door pods for my speakers and I'm getting ready to position them for the best center stage.. My question is this.. Should I set the time alignment and then find the best positioning with the alignment altered? Or should I set them with everything equal and then change the time alignment after the enclosure is already complete? My speakers are the cdt-es643s and they have an unusual dispursement pattern anyways.. they claim that the speaker is very directional.. So the off axis response isn't as quick as the response right in front..

here's a link to the company's website with info on their contoured dispersion speakers... Due to the way that the speakers respond, it almost appears that if I get my speakers where I want them without alignment, then add alignment, then it'll **** everything up?? because the speakers respond in an unusual way.. anyone who knows their **** please help me!
