Help video playback SD Card [Pioneer AVH-4300DVD]

I know that there have been probably hundreds of threads like this and i have done research to the best of my ability but i couldn't find an answer.

So, my problem is that, i am trying to play video files off of my SD card on the AVH-4300DVD, but it fails. I already have a bypass installed as well.

While many people are getting an error like "Unplayable File", mines read just fine except that it is only reading the "Audio" Part of the file and not the "Video". So all i hear is the song but no video.

I have been trying to play video files for days now and i can't just seem to get it working. If i insert regular Movie DVD's in the disc drive it works fine, but when im trying to play music videos off the SD card i cannot.

The formats i tried to use were in (.DivX) and (.AVI). The unit appears to be able to read both formats and no other format through the SD Card, but again, only the audio is played and not the video. I also tried rendering them into the correct resolution that the unit supports (480x240), which also does not work.

I was hoping that i may find some help with my situation here and i would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

not sure on that model but my avid-z120 or whatever has sdaudio and sdvideo...If you just tap sd again maybe that will work? Other than that have you tried mutiple videos? Even when you have the same avi or divX some still just dont want to play right. The best solution Ive done to watch videos and movies on the Pioneers is just get a ipod and use that. Much more realiable with better quality

i have the avh p3200bt, i couldnt figure it out, so i simply just gave up. I use the SD for tones, USB for music, and CD drive for DVDs, i mean hw many times are you actually going to need videos?

One word. Don't give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because it's worth it if you can make the sd card work.

I was passing thru and saw this forum and went through the trouble of registering to answer this question.

After surfing the internet for many days, I finally was able to make videos work on my pioneer avh-3300bt sd slot.

I read forums everywhere and saw you tube videos, and FINALLY after approximately 4 days trying to figure it out I was successful.

Just think every song you like is usually on youtube, and that is one huge music collection. Even new songs. Sound is good or just as good as digital.

What I used was the online youtube the mp3 converters. Unfortunately, the 2 sites I used no longer let you converts to all types of videos for iphones and divx. Just mp3's which is unfortunate. You need to find these type of sites.

I first used a 2gb sd card but the video stuttered a bit which was not too bad since I was so happy to have video.

But I read online you can use 32 gb, so I was given a 32gb mini sd card with adapter I asked for as a birthday gift and the video is was smoother since it's faster I presume.

Sometimes the music titles are shown incorrectly on the screen which is a sometimes anomoly. But for most part it works great.

I have 100's of video and still have alot of gigabytes left for videos or a few movies. I think you can you 8-10 movies on a sd card like this.

Most of the time I have videos playing in the background. I let my passengers watch or everyone just listens to the music while the video plays in the background like art. The sound is amazinginly great on the pioneer.

If you can get the sd card to play videos, it is well worth it. Dont give up. This is one of the best options in the whole universe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yippieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

And if you give up, what ashame.

I have been playing video thru sd card and my usb actually has a usb reader with 16gb, the pioneer as i have tested will take up to 16gb.

here's the link on how to make a video for sd card, you just need to make sure the setting is correct and it will play, I have over 20gb worth of music videos some are slowed song.

I hope this helps, PM me if you have any questions, I have tried from 4gb to 16gb and all works

Confirmed: Generic DivX format for SD avi and DVD DivX - General - AVIC411.com

I need some thank yous wink wink
