help trying to clean basket + motor

im having a ***** of a time trying to clean woofer getting ready for recone, i used plyers to crunch the ca glue on the top near surround, and then i go at the foam with a razor but its not working

and for the spider, i went all around with a razor to get rid of it, and now the spider material is left ontop and its hard as a rock and wont come off... i used plyers in a lever motion to try and pry the spider off with the ca glue and it worked for a second and then it would just tear the spider off, and then i went around with the razor to cut it off...

any ideas? btw ive already been pwnt once by the motor, using the razor to wedge off the ca glue it came loose and i smashed my finger knuckle on the edge of basket //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Use a brass brush if possible.

Its a softer metal, less prone to damaging a surface/finish.

Flat head screwdriver is your friend.

Its nice to have a new fresh basket tho...
