Help the new girl

Image dynamic Ctsx6 and ctxs5 www. Audionmore.com $169Two RE8's http://www.respl.com $100

Viper 450.5 amp $149 audionmore.com

ported box $?

what do you all think?

i would go with a single twelve over the 2 eights... she

is going to be listening to rap music... i know that diameter

matters less and less as companies come out with new and

better technologies... but i cant see an 8 being much use

for this application...

i would say that shiva for 125

an amp in the 150~200 range

50 for a prefab sealed

miscellaneous $$$ for wires and install

this setup would be pretty nice and

not bust the budget... its not like she

needs 0 gauge wires for modest power...

I put two re8's in my ladies car and they bump enough!!

The viper amp is 35x4@4+250x1@2

35w to all 4 speakers.

250w to 2re8's.

Most peolpe love shivas. So maybe a shiva.

She wants to beef her system up not compete. And two 8's wont take up alot of space.

well first off. Welcome to the board. That makes another girl.

My suggestion would be just to go with a nice 12 sealed and a good amp. I reccommend sealed box since it seems like you are realitively new and do not have the knowledge yet to build a ported.

Just my two and a half cents.

I'm thinking for the ford the shiva-12"

the viper 450.5 and

a sealed enclosure

and then a wire kit

for the impala I'm thinking something with more bass, any suggestions?--It has the factory speakers

Checked with a friend who works at an autobody shop and he said he would do the install

Thanks for all the inputs so far, I really appreciate everyone being so helpful

hahaha...well you should hear my gf's setup then. It use re8's by the way.

But anyways, it's always SOOOO funny to see how many people reply...and how quick they reply when it's a girl! Don't be frightened if they soon start asking for a pic of you...lmao.

So, i'd suggest:

Front: CDT cl-6x

Rear: CDT cl-5x

both can be had from djdilliodon, that is his aim name! He's an authorized CDT dealer, has great prices, and you get full warranty. Both sets for $90 shipped

Subs, 2 re8's or 2 187 10's.

http://www.reaudio.com call for direct pricing, RE series

http://www.incriminatoraudio.com call for direct pricing, 187 series

either, 1-2 cubes ported @35hz would be excellent. peace

edit! oh and of course the viper amp!

BTW, i'd choose 2 187 10's ported for the impala for a little more bump!!!! peace

i was gonna make that comment about the quick replys

for the girls thread... but i decided not to bother...

ive never heard an 8" sub so i am no one to talk really... but

i still stand by my single 12" shiva sealed idea... or more

mainstream alpine type R can be got off the internet for

about the same price... i dont think

shes going to be porting anything in the focus at least... for

more "boom" in the impala ported would be the way to go

though... that thing is a boat...

I figured I'd get more help cuase I was a girl and that is fine with me!!!!!!!!!!

Can I do the same suggested set-up for the impala...

shiva 12"

viper 450.5

enclosure

...but with ported enclosure instead and it will sound a lot better? Would two 12" make more sense there (yes it is a boat)

Also for the Amp installation kit what gauge and brand should I look for if I go with the viper amp? Hopefully I can start ordering stuff today or tomorrow.

i'd go with the cdt's front and rear $90

go to walmart and buy a scoche kit..i think they are 20-25 bucks,,it includes everything you'll need to install the amp.

is the guy charging you for install??

I have decided on 12" shivas in sealed enclosures for both cars. I have been looking at Q-logic enclosures, but am not sure if I should get .85 cubic feet or 1.25 cubic feet
