help! system tripping fuel cutoff sensor

my system keeps cutting off my fuel sensor cutoff thingy, its happend 3 times already driving down the road listening to jeezy track 10 and its ****ing shitty having to pull off to the side of the road and run to the trunk to push the button back in

any tips? i was thinkin of puttin gum or something in there so it stays in but then if i ever get in an accident or soemthign im ****ed...

is there anyway to adjust the sensitivity its a 95-99 merc sable/ford taurus
