Help! stick with 2 15's or go to 1??

Ok so i just got a new and much smaller car which is a hatchback. One of my main goals is to reduce the weight of my 2 15" l7's in a sealed box powered by a 2000w memphis mojo amp. Now i need help here, do you guys think it would better to just use 1 sub, and get a real nice ported box? The l7's seem like they arent getting enough power with only 1000w to them. Any input would be awesome. Thanks!

well i dont think your amp is gonna put out 1000 rms to each sub. i would sell one sub, and use that money to build or buy a nice ported box

why doesnt my amp put 1000w to each? it is 2000w rms x1 @ 2 ohms 13.3 volts...i think i will go to 1 ported sub. might get better spl.

I plan on upgrading my alternator to close to 200 amps, big 3, and adding a crossover so i will have full power. stick with 2 15's or port 1? i need some input please.
