Help: Sony Xplod 2-12" subs, box and sony d class mono block 1200 watt amp

So my friend is getting rid of his system which is what the title is: 2 Sony Xplod 12" subs with a ported box, and a sony d class mono block 1200 watt amp

For $250...

Is it a good deal, what would you guys do and is it a good price?

Oh, and sorry for the noobness, and I know that Xplods are considered crappy but I mean.... 250... Enlighten me.

your "friend" paid well under $250 for that equipment, thats why it isnt a good deal. Offer him $100 cash, no more.

now.. even at $100, you are buying "sh!tty" audio equipment to put it in one word.

Shit id sell you 2 audiobahn flame q's, pre-fab ported box, lazar mxa-282 2 ch amp, boss 360 watt amp, and a .5 farad cap for 250. Not the best, but better than that.

You can just look online to see how much they're worth. Although you didn't post any model numbers, according the the Sony site: http://www.xplodsony.com/technology/view/Class+D

They only make 2 class D amps. The XM-1S (500 watts rms @ 2-ohms):

which you can find NEW for $118.15 on ebay.

and the XM-D9001GTR (900 watts rms @ 2-ohms):

which you can find NEW for $110 on ebay.

The subs run NEW for $60 a piece (http://www.google.com/products?hl=en&q=xs-l12S&scoring=p. So even if you bought that set up new it would only cost you 230-240. So either way it's a rip off.

Listen to the guys above, spend a little more and get a much better setup on here. The one lesson is that doing a little research and spending a bit more in electronics will always work out better in the end.
