Help selecting a car amp to power DJ speakers

Hello,

I want to power two 15" full range passive 8 ohm molded speakers. The speakers are rated 350 watts so I'm thinking I need a amp with 2 channels, 525 watts per channel @ 8 ohms, full range stereo amp, 12 volts only. I could run the two in parallel if that's the only opposition, 700 watts @ 4 ohms with a 1,000 watt mono amp but I want full range output. I don't want to use any kind of 110volt power inverters either and I like to have the level, treble and bass adjustment on the amp. I like to keep the price of the amp below $400

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks, Phil

A 1000 watt rms 2 channel might be a hard one to find in that price range I know American bass makes one and if I remember I believe ppi made one back in The 90s might do better with a 4 channel and bridging the amp to get the power you want

If you are looking for a car amp that does that kind of wattage. You are better off getting a 2 channel and bridging it to 4 ohms but you lose stereo seperation. On board eq's are rare. The only 2 that come to mind are 90s era ppi ax and directed amplifiers. They are far and few between. Amps have a level control but it is a gain knob. The gain knob is not a volume knob. Your source should be where you control the volume. What are you trying to accomplish and what are you using for 12v power?

I'm not opposed to having a mono system. The application is 8 separate hay wagons, powered by 8 john deere tractors(battery/alt). For the past 10+ years I have used Jensen 1000 watt amps with(600w) 2- 10" & 2 tweeter one piece wood box speaker. Because the system is old and the speakers are wood they alway swell up with humidity, not to mention cumbersome to put on and off everyday. I would like to buy new plastic molder speaker that will be light, somewhat moisture resistant and easier to drop on sleeved mount. Also better quality and louder output. I tried to fine 12" or 15" passive full range molded 4 ohm speakers but no luck. The problem is two different animals. Car audio and DJ/ home audio don't mix for me.

I'm using IR triggers with on board Ir receiver to trigger tracks from a SD card so my device has no EQ, I make some adjustments in the editing.

Crescendo C1600.2 is only thing I can think of to come close to that power. Bridged 1x1700rms @2 ohms so about 1x850 @ 4 ohms. Good luck!

I wil check that one out. Thanks, Phil
