HELP! Punctured diaphram

My grandpa was drilled the sub screws into the box, and ended up slipping on the drill and punctured the diaphragm on my Ascendant Audio Avalanche 15. The puncture is very minor, (less than a pinky nails worth of a slit (2 or 3 millimeters)0, but I fear that either when I pound the sub hard it will have a shitty ported effect, or the gap will just get plain bigger and bigger and my sub with be destroyed.

Can I get the sub reconed? Would that fix the damage?

Do I need to just plain buy a new sub?

What the %$^& should I do? I don't want to harp on it because my grandpa is pretty elderly and I don't wnat to hurt his feelings anymore than they already are.

cover it up.
get pix of it for us.
I'd get a pic of it, but it's too **** small.

It looks somewhat like a drill bit started going into the sub but i caught it befre it got further, however there was a VERY small slit open ONLY if you pulled the diaphragm just a little to see it.

How would I cover it up? Crazy glue?

With these thing you need to get creative.

alrightie thanks guys, if anyone else wants to chime in lemme know. i guess i should do a small flat soat of the silicone underneath the surround and then fill the circle shaped space on top with a nice chunk of sealent and then just use a permanent marker to make the white silicone black (budget i know). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

what the hell is with that post?

if you could get ahold of some glue females use to glue on fake nails, smear that all over then underside of it. my cousin did that to a round solobaric 12 like 9 years ago and it's still holding up.
