Help please

Hi, just need your opinion on something.

I have Edition 693 | Edition | Loudspeakers | CAR AUDIO | magnat these 6x9 speakers on the shelf running on an old school alpine 3541 amp pushing about 40w rms at 4 ohms.

I have a decent set of components up front and I dont think of adding a sub because the trunk is too small and really need the space. So the question. What would I achieve adding a sub crossover to these speakers in the rear. Would it make them more bassier?

Simple answer, no the speakers will not make more bass by adding a crossover.
