I believe she is asking how to shutoff of the internal amp in the deck. In Alpines I know this is possible, but not sure with other units.

thats what i got out of it as well, after 4 or 5 re-reads. my clarion has that option, and i believe my old kenwood x979 did as well. what sort of deck do you have?
