Help please

ok i ran a new remote wire for my amp....i take the deck off to connect it to teh one that the shop close to me hooked up the other one to.....they connected my amplifier remote wire to the purple wire comming out of my deck.......they then had my blue and white wire connected to a purple power antenna wire comming from the other harness.....when i connect my amp remote wire like they did i dont get anything on the amp.....how ever when i connect teh blue and white wire, my remote wire, and the purple antenna power it powers one....now when i just do teh blue and white wire and my remote wire i get no sound nothing....(i thought the remote wire was blue and white?) i am lost and need help.

power ant wire is blue. amp ( rem. turn on) is blue with white.
