Help Please... Purchasing an audio system as a Christmas gift.

Hi,

I am a newbie and I need a little advice. I am purchasing an audio system for my husband for Christmas but don't know what to get.

He drives a 1998 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup, single cab.

I would like to keep the cost under $400 if I can. I would like to get something that will last with an awesome sound so if I need to go higher on the price I will. It's already wired for a pretty stout amp and a 10, however I was thinking of going with a 12 so, I don't know if I should change the wiring.

Any advice you can give would realy help. Thanks!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

if 4 8's then run the same amp with 4 RE8's

still under your budget //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

if it is a chevy with no leg room go with a shallow ten in a sealed box.

box-

sub-

amp-

this is for one ten that will fit perfectly behind the passenger seat and give alot of power, and plently of bumps.

total is- 375 without shipping so it should be around 400 perfectly.
