Help please lol.....

So yeah, i have a 15 inch orion sub woofer, and a 2000 watt hifonics brutus amp. Sub woofer and Amplifier are in mint condition, i just got the amp.

Im having problems getting ti working, wiring is not the problem.... so dont jump to that the sub or the amp... ok my battery reads 12.2 volts which is deffinately not proportional to a full battery.... i really dont know the problem but i know its the car... if anyone could help me with this i would very much appreciate it.

if its 12v with the car off, then nothing is wrong

see the thing is i had it working for 3 weeks then it just stopped working, and its 12.2 with the car on... i have a multi meter

are doesn the amp cut on at all or go to protect or anything

then it sounds like your alt. or perhaps your wiring from the alt to the batt.

did you maybe accidently disconnect the batt from the alt?

and also, does it read 12v with the stereo off? or with the stereo going?

the amp used to turn on and off or turn on for split seconds but now it just sits in my trunk.... crying lol

id be pretty positive its the alt.

go to autozone and have it tested.

12.2 volts throughout tried everything and no i doubt its disconnected from the alternator cuz my car batt died today and i jumped it and it recharged. but im thinking it could maybe be a weak or old alternator?

idk bout the power or whatever i think prolly bad batt or alt maybe a fuse blown?? always check fuses
