Help picking out small "sub"

I am looking for a couple of 8" subs that perform well free air. Mouting depth isnt an issue as I plan on putting these in my rear deck and using them for mid bass. Also considering JL 6W0's..

midbass is in stereo and needs to come from in front of you.

are you the **** who thinks that 8" subs are made to perform in the midbass region?

I have some Kicker Solobaric 8's in a small sealed box that I'd sell for $250 shipped. The subs are older, but just installed. They have only seen power for about 3 weeks now. If you are interested, I'll give you the measurements of the box, but it is quite small as they only needed about .5 cu/ft each.
