hay guys im looking to see what would be a better intake for my 79 cutty with a 350 a dual or single plane

Where did the 350 come from?

Is it a Chevy motor or an Olds/Buick 350?

ZOMGGGGG! this reminds me of a story. i had been getting terrible gass milage so i went to check my k&n filter.. and a rat had torn up a couch i had stored in the garage and made a nest all the way around my intake...lawl

Dual plane is better in lowend torque, such as driving around town.

Single plane generally makes more horsepower, but its power peaks higher up in the RPM's so its better suited to the track.

Those definitions are generalities and a great deal depends on what kind of performance parts your engine has, so dont take them as gospel.

Height of the intake can matter as well. If you take 2 similiar intakes, and make one taller, you'll shift the powerband, but keep the overall curve the same. I've seen Edelbrocks make some good numbers, and I just happen to know where a Demon 750cfm 4bbl is for cheap...
