Get a 2.2 million farad cap... Oh wait. Thats called a battery. Op there are a ton of threads about why you should have a battery instead. Use the search button and you'll find out all about it.

OP go into the classifieds and pick up one of those C&D 490MR batteries. They are absolute monsters and will be plenty for that amp and hold your voltage up way better than any cap will.

Something at least two farads. The more the merrier. Adding a battery and a high output alternator especially when paired with multiple batteries and a big three are better options. However, if you're like me and don't want to invest your life's savings into your system, then a cap at least two farads should make a noticable difference...I think. Heck, I'm only 18 and may very well be wrong here, but that's my $0.02.

The only thing caps are decent for is to help stop dimming by giving VERY SHORT bursts of current. Once your system starts pulling more power than your alternator can supply, a cap becomes a paperweight. Caps rely on the alternator to recharge them so they can discharge right after, but if the alt is under constant stress the cap can't charge. This is why a battery is a much better solution, because betteries don't need to be recharged in the same way that caps do, and they have an astronomical amount of reserve capacity compared to caps.
