Help On Buying A Shallow Mount 12" Subwoofer All Help Is Appreciated

HEY ALL SORRY ANOTHER COMPARISON AND PROFESSIONAL HELP ON SUBS. IM GETTING RID OF MY JL 12W6V2.... I KNOW I DONT WANT TO, BUT GOTS TOO LOL. SO HERES THE THING I REALLY NEED MY TRUNKSPACE NOW. AND THE SINGLE SUB ISNT CUTTING IT. SO I WAS LOOKING INTO SHALLOW MOUNT SUBS. I HAVE A:

CAR: 2005 CHEVY IMPALA

AMP: HIFONICS BRUTUS 1206D

I WANT THE SUB TO SOUND DECENT BASS WISE AND SOUND QUALITY WISE. IM LOOKING INTO THESE:

12" Kenwood Excelon KFCXW1200F

12" OR 13.5 JL AUDIO TW-5

12" MTX Audio TT6512-02

12" Pioneer Premier TSSW1201S4

ANY OTHER SHALLOW / THIN SUB YOU CAN RECOMMENT TO ME

WHICH WOULD YOU GUYS PREFFER?

why didnt you just throw the 12W6 into 1 cube sealed if you needed a smaller enclosure? I dont see you finding the sound you want any other way and unless you do a pair, you will never find something as clean as the 12W6.

I have 1 infant and now a newborn child so now i hsave to squeeze 2 strollers, bags etc. get me? thats why im breaking my trunk down however, i still want sounds. i dnt care if they're not the loudest, but i would like a decent bass / sound. and i know no shallow sub will sound as good or close to a w6

I'm with him. Why don't you throw the w6 into a small sealed enclosure? The w6's do very well in small sealed enclosures. However, they are pretty deep. What kind of depth are you looking for? Below 6.5", 5.5", 3.5"?

Well I Tried A Small Single Enclosure And Its Still Not Enough The Strollers Are Still To Big Thats Why I Wanna Pick Up A Shallow Sub. So Its Out Of The Way And I Still Have A Large Amount Of Trunkspace

The questions still remain: how shallow are you talking about? and how much room do you want to give up? if a single 12" sealed isn't enough, you're looking at either adding another 12" or porting that one 12.

love the tw5, but the power ratings are not accurate. The sub never saw more than ~520 watts and my glue melted, coil coming unwound. Need to find a recone if they exist. If you can afford 2 that would be a good option. SQ wise they are AMAZING. SI Mag v4 as well
