*HELP* New Laptop Battery

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505. I just bought a new battery from the local Batteries plus. when I start my computer, it tells me it doesn't recognize the battery and wont charge it. WHat the hell can I do to fix this? It is the replacement that is called for. My computer will show the battery has a charge but wont charge it.

Take it back to the shop and exchange it. Bring your laptop too, to show that your laptop is not recognizing it. I didn't have a battery problem but i had a charger problem. It'll keep the laptop running but it won't charge the battery so i called dell and they sent me a replacement. Shipping was hella quick and i'm glad i bought warranty for it.

THis sucks!!!

Buy a $150 battery I cant use.

I tried upgrading my BIOS, been reading. Cant find shit.

The store I bought it from is not open on Sunday.

I'm about ready to throw the POS in the middle of the street and run over it about 100 X's

Guess I'll have to get on Dell live chat and see if they can/will help. Its an after market battery and my laptop is out of warrenty. This sucks.

Hold up, you paid $150 for an aftermarket battery? You should have just went to dell and bought one for your laptop, it would have been cheaper than $150. Well anyways, either get it exchanged or gl.

the 6 cell from dell is 135

the one I bought is twice the mAHr for $15.00 more and I dont have to pay shipping.
