help needed on sale gone rong

ok heres the deal sold 1 or my 2 mrd-m1005's on ebay along with an mrp-f250, they were purchased from a person from texas for 315 plus 20 for shipping he sent me an invoice that i would recieve a money order the invoice alsop told his adress and phone number, 4 days later i recived a usps package in the mail i reched in and pulled out a strange moner order, and a note with adress again, i called around and took it everywere no one would cash it, finally i found a place to cash it they told me they woul dneed lisence socail security and the money order also the envelope and everything it came with i took it there, and it took a week to clear it has now been 2 weeks nd the person is agrivated becouse they havent recived any amps, i clearly stated i only accept westurn unoin money orders but that wasnt follwed, now i had my cash i wante dto ship promply i went to my ebay account got his invoice and printed a shipping label and sent the amps out via usps, i gave him tracking and left the computer, a few hours later i came back and i have recived an email that i shipped to the rong adress, and he wanted a refund, i told him i would not refund becouse i didnt have the amps, he told me that his ebay adress and information was no longer his currant adress and a should have disregourded it and used the adress in the note he sent me, like i was supposed to no his adress by heart and realize they were 2 diff adress, i went to eh check cashiers And they did not have the adress paper anymore it had been shredded, yesturday i recived the amps back and both of them had been destroyed in shipping, and usps will not let my file a claim because i didnt use there shippign tape and bubble rap and says i shipped impropely, any sugestions on what i should do and whos at fualt?

Spell check ftw? Lol. Not sure I read that right, but I'm not gonna try and reread it. Should have shipped to the addy he mentioned with the MO. What was so strange about the MO? Where was it from? How did you package the amp? Did you use any bubble wrap peanuts etc? If so how much? If you got the amps back, send the buyer his money. The rest is between you and the post office.

Me, Id refund the money and take a loss, but often Im too nice and get screwed. But you wont be in the wrong IMO if you dont because he didn't follow procedure, though.

well if the mo doesn't clear, you can't really refund him as thats his loss. however, if it did clear, then you should refund him as you have ur amps back

just because they got destroyed isn't his fault at all, its either yours or the shipping companies, and that should be discussed between the two of you

well i will refund him the money but he does need to update his info, when u talk to him on the phone its like tlaking to amachine everythng is yup and what and no , well anyway , the amps heatsinks are totally wrecked they look liek they were thrown out of a car, the box was recived with giant holes in it all peanuts gone they was a peice of foam in between the amps that was missing so thy rubbed agiantst each other

So, I have a few friends like that.They don't say much else, every now and then you'll get a deeper reply.

Refund him the money, end of story.Try to re-sell the amps as cosmetically damaged if they still work.

Refund the money, next time you sell on eBay accept Paypal only as payment and state that you will only ship to the Paypal Confirmed address. Insure every package for at least $50 over the final sale price including shipping. When shipping an amp, wrap that sucker in a plastic bag taped shut to keep water out, then wrap it in at least 3 layers of bubble wrap. Then put it in the box and fill the rest of the space with crumpled newspaper. Peanuts ****, and newspaper is cheap. Then ship it UPS ground. I have never had a problem shipping with them, and they tend to be easier to deal with when something goes wrong than the USPS is. If you're shipping a sub, well then good luck, I think everyone has had problems with getting damaged subs from pretty much every carrier.

Paypal account! Money orders are for the birds, plus you are protected when buying things.
