Help needed getting started

I am wanting to install an intire new sound system in an 01 Durango, and don't really know where to start. I plan on replacing the four 4 1/2 door panel speakers, the four tweets, and adding 2 more speakers (possible 6x9's, or whatever you think would be best) and maybe 2 subs. What kind of amp would be best? Is there an amp that could push 10 component speakers and 2 subs (maybe just some 8" subs, i'm not really going for loudness in the sub department), or would it be better to buy a separate amp for the subs? Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

So you want to push 8 speakers?

Your best bet would probably be 2 4 channel amps for the speakers then a mono amp for the subs

Then you could get a 2 channel and a 4 channel amp for the speakers

then a mono sub amp for the subs
