help needed ASAP

i have a brand new yellow top in my car at first with the car on it would go up to 14+volts now it barely goes pass 13.2 and thats with nothin on what is goin on??

what type of vehicle?

some just charge around mid 13....

a caprice do u think its a blown fusible link??

Either your alternator is crappin' out, or your car just charges at around 13 volts...most newer cars only charge a little above 13 volts!

mine stays at 13.5-13.9 with all electrical consumers off. a cars alt only charges what it needs and it doesnt "need" 14 volts your car is based around 12v so as long as your over 13 you should be fine

i fixed it! it was a loose alt belt
