Help! my new amp blows fuses

The diamond 300.2 I bought blows fuses... it arc's when you just have the +12v in then try to connect the negative... ?!? I had also noticed (pre-install) a little damage to the neg spot that looked like arc damage but I didn't think anything of it... !! also the other amp is just fine (same wiring setup)... + is to + and - is to -.... any ideas? or things to check?

connect all negatives first

and make sure..

ITS IN THE RIGHT TERMINAL!

disconnect all rcas and speaker wires and power and remote etc, connect them up in this order.

ground first, power second, rcas third, rem fourth, speaker wires last. if it works fine up until the speaker wires are introduced, the wires might be grounding out somewhere

ok all of above tried and triple checked.. hooked ground up, left turn on out, put 12v in and POP POP, two more fuses go boom..

yup! sigh... I figured internal short.... what are the chances of me being able to locate and fix this problem armed with a multimeter and a medicore knowledge of electonics??? If I pull the cover on it is there anything easy to look for?

BTW: I bought it from jenns style and she's being VERY helpful! she's a great seller, fast shipper, and isn't full of BS!
