Yes, it should fit in a flat rate. A large flat rate which is 13.95 i believe.

its 16 wide and 4 tall. you couldnt use another basket i dont think. plus it has a 5" vc i dont thing its easy to get those

onlu if its less than 70 lbs. and by the sound of it 14 inch motor would be more than 70 lbs

I thought that wieght limit only applied to international shipments.

i have some ideas. it was chrome plated aluminum so it didnt rust it just started to peel!!!!
