I'll finally be doing some stereo work to the new truck, and i need guidance on A-pillars and tweeters.

Firing direction.

The only reason im moving the tweets up to the pillars is because i HATE how someones leg blocks their sound so bad. I just dont want to move them up and have the imaging be all f*cked up.

If i point them straight out of the pillar (the same direction as if they were in the door), would i gain similar imaging from them?

Which one is ideal will really depend on the person, car, and driver. Are you using a radiator tweeter or dome tweet, are you doing 3 or 4 way, are your midranges and/or midwoofers on or off axis; it just depends on a lot of different variables. If you can, try using tape to test the tweet in different placements and see which type you prefer most.
