ok heres how it works. i have 2 10" pioneer subs. they are svc 4 ohm. ive bridged them to my amp to get 250 watts each to them. the subs are 400 max and they say 120 norm. that would be like 200 rms music then right???? well i have it wired right. ive checked the polarities and everything. i have my gain up about 1/4 the way and the bass boost up all the way and my lpf is on. i turn my volume up to 22 (it goes up to 35) on any song just about it, and my amp shuts off!!! it also does it on late night tip, rockstart by slim thug, throw it up, and acid rain by pastor troy. these songs have some pretty low bass on them, but in bia bia by lil jon when it gets to the really low parts by ludacris, it stays on, and that has some low bass... alot lower than acid rain or rockstar, but these songs have powerful bass, if u no wat i mean. i think its because i might be over powering the subs. but i dont no. could it be the wiring kit? i have an awesome ground so i no thats not it. none of my fuses are blown, that i no of, and its all wired correctly. im pretty sure that its no because its getting hot because its fan constantly stays on, and today it was about 75 degreese here, so no way it could be getting hot. could it be that i have a shitty brand of wires? its 8 gage ground and power and a verry small remote turn on, like 20 gage or sumthin. and the wires are made by scoshe.... or how ever u spell it... scoche or sumthin... PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

Well I think the 0 guage is a bit much for only 400w of power, hell, you could get away with 8 guage on that... But it wouldnt be hurting anything. And overpowering your subs wouldnt harm the amp, jus tthe subs. Unless you start clipping the amp with the gain to high. Get a DMM or Oscope and set your gain properly first of all. Also, turn that bass boost all the way down. That is the easiest way to kill a sub.

What is your LPF set to? Is there an SSF? What kind of box are the subs in?

Edit- and it really doesnt matter how small your REM line is, because it carries a very small amount of current.

subs are in a hatchback dual chamber sealed 3/4 inch mdf.... like .75 feet for each sub or so. its 8 gage not 0, and i dont no wat the ssf is, and the lpf is all the way up or down one, and theres a switch that says lpf and full and hpf, its on lpf....

You use pieces of crap, and you get crap results. My guess is that you have them bridged at 2 ohms to a 2 channel amp, thus making your POS amp work even crappier. Put one sub per channel like it should be, and it'll work correctly most likely.

Okay, sorry I misread the 8 as a 0...

But a sub sonic filter (SSF) shouldnt matter because you have a sealed box so forget that.

As for the LPF, you do not want it all the way down (or up, whichever you have it at.) Set the LPF to around 60Hz. If you have it all the way down, you could be sending out notes much too low for your amplifier, and for your subs for that matter. If its all the way up, it should really be harming the amp, just the subs. Fix this, and see what happens. Is there anyway for you to take a pic of your amp settings? Also, a pic of your setup?

Ha, didnt even look in the sig... Good catch man. That Volfenhag is crap bro. Thats your problem right there, guarenteed. And I bet you are NOT overpowering your subs, because that amp is HIGHLY over rated.

well i only paid 50 dollars for it so i didnt really loose ne thing, and this is just my starter/budget system, so ill have better when i get my license in january.....
