Help Me Understand!!!

i switched fourms...this gets more attention

OK guys....now u just have to understand where im comming from...im an audio beginner, ok???...by what i see in all of these fourms, JL is by far hated on the most...ok no biggy....and ive never heard a XXX or Brahma sub before, but them are the sub everyone usually say is better...so what i want to kno is if there were 2 XXX or 2 Brahma subs with one amp, would it be louder than my 2 12w7s??? if u havent seen my pics there in the Gallery (look)... when mine were tested they hit 156.43 db with an Audio Control Comp Mic (spl)....

you all tell me some good info now...i want to understand how good theres sub really are if they are better

well, in general, the XXX and the Brahma are louder, but the W7's take the cake on SQ. that's only in general. in some cases the W7 can be louder, and the XXX and Brahma sound better. most people on here dislike jl because of the prices. when i see a w7 for like $300, then it stands a chance with the Brahma and the XXX

Ive been known to say that I all out hate JL, and for the most part im not really a fan to tell you the truth. But then again, Im not saying that they make bad products. The w7 is incredible, and most of the other equipment they have produced over the years is good too. I just don't understand the fact that everyone has JL stuff and talks like it is god's gift to car audio. JL doesnt ****, but they aren't the best either IMO. yeah really, they should lower their prices a lot. for the price of a single 13W7, i could buy 2 12" brahma's and waste that w7

you kno what i totally agree with u...but on the other hand ive never compared systems (nice, awsome sytems before) just lil ones...so to me mine is off the chain

from what i understand its all about the set up...regaurdless of the best sub....one sub will be better in one asspect and vise versa

The Brahma is louder under 1000W, W7 is louder above (generalizing). Not sure about the XXX, but they should be closer.

to me, they're all basically the same, just different designs, voice coils, and definately prices. i still stick with the brahma though, just personal preference.
