Help me please..

Okay, so.. i just installed to kicker ten inch cvt's in my truck, with a boss 2 channel amp 1200watts.

They were working fine, until i took the + and - wires outta the box. and hooked them up too my freinds subs to see if they were blown or not. So we finished up with his subs, and then i hooked mine back upp. And its not playing how it used too. it used to rattle my cab, and now im getting a more like a distorted bass, almost like the amps to power ful for the subs, and thats not true because they worked prior to this insodent PERFECT.

Any ideas?
