help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!

got a problem people. i have a four channel amp hooked up to power my interior speakers. so there are two sets of rca's being ran from the back of my radio. and yesterday i just got my amp for my subs but guess what. they arent anymore preamp outputs to put a set of rca's in for my sub amp. my friend told me that i could split the signal with a y adapter. just wondering if that will do the job, or if yall have any other suggestions.

You'll need 2 Y adapters......Then the other RCA will be for the subs!

i know see this was the thing. i had a clarion hu in before that had 3 sets of preouts but then it broke and i got a alpine and wasnt thinking about the preouts because i really needed another radio. so i kinda rushed into getting it. but thanks for the help. i will be on my way to the store to get them when i get off of work.

Your 4-channel amp MAY have a set of output RCAs, which you could use instead of running new cables to the head unit.

yea it does have a set of output rca's but if i run it off of the other amp i wont be able to control my subs like i want to.

:/ if you run the one amp off of your other amp, you should be able to control all of the speakers that are connected to those amps from your HU

my friend told me that i wouldnt be able to control the volume of the subwoofer. because if i run it off of the other amp it wouldnt be hooked up to the sub pre out put on the back of the hu.
