i would recommend my system if you are looking for some SQ.

Image Dynamics IDQ v.3 12 inch d4 - $280

Ported Box - make your own if you know how to and have the tools -around 50 bucks

Amp - Alpine pdx 1.600 - 250 or so

Component speakers - Everybody here rave about rainbow slc 265 - 250

Amp - Diamond Audio d3 400.4 - 150 or so

a little over 900 for everything but not including wires, installation, etc

you could also change the amps if you want. i just recommended what i got but there's other amps out there for cheaper

Two amps for those two subs? No it wont work. One amp those subs? yes but they would be getting less than 250w. Those two amps with 2 dual 4 ohms? Yes that is the route I would recommend out of the equipment you are looking at.

I would recommend buying dual 4 ohm subs. That will give you much more flexibility when it comes to amps.

if ur getting 2 type r's, i would suggest a sae-1000d and 2 dual 4 ohm argh's but i dont recommend argh's period let alone, sq.

there are plenty of good "500 rms at 2 ohms" amps.

kicker zx 500.1 - 220

alpine m500 - 150

phoenix gold x600.1 - 200 or so

alpine mrp m600(something like that) - 180

alright so il change the type r's to the 4 ohm ones. i searched the sae-1000d amp and it only puts out 300watts at 4ohm wouldn't that be too little for the type r's?

The sundown will put out a 1000 at one ohm. Would be perfect for two dual 2 woofers.

I don't think you understand how impedance works. A pair of DVC 4 ohm drivers can be wired down to 1 ohm. Most amplifiers produce more power at 1 ohm. Trying to run a pair of Type R's at 4 ohms would be a waste of your money.

Also look into Pioneer 3000SPL's. Solid budget subs that are designed to get loud in relatively small enclosures //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
