I need to identify this woofer. It is an engineering sample built for Electrovoice by Emminence. That is all that I know. There is 151834A written in white on the cone. I want to build a box for it but need to get the specs so I can size it properly. Thanks for your help!

That is my boyfriend's hairy arm in the picture...NOT MINE!

We need pics of you to make sure that the sub is yours, and not stolen because we at caraudio.com do not support stolen goods.

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark here. I would say your not gonna find any printed TS parameters for it. But I would be willing to bet it's gonna want a ginormous enclosure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I use a lotta EV products for work. They are geared more for full range applications than just a subwoofer. If you can find another one, they would make for some great PA speakers.

Most PA equipment doesn't have a lot of excursion... at least not by car/home audio standards.
That was my point. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/youreawesome.gif.a27e190c662afa8e2be5686b27bd1659.gif

Looks like a loudspeaker, not a subwoofer. Judging by the surround it also doesn't have alot of excursion.
x2 on PA.

I'd just put it in 2 cubes and see hot it sounds.

EDIT:: I read the whole thread, lolz.

Use them as mid-bass.

FTW

I have two of them actually...I was thinking that they might work well for home theater subs but perhaps they just won't go long enough.
They will most likely **** for sub duty in HT. I'd use the as the mids / mid bass area of HT.
