i have two 12' cvx kickers in the trunk of my honda civic EX 2003... and i want to get all suggestions on how i can improve...

its loud.. but like.. its so much rattle and stuff.. inside it sounds real loud but the out is ok... not like a truck where it has all that wide open space...

my bass is loud and you cant really hear the voice or song a whole lot.. my stock speakers **** and i think the back ones are blown... it has a piece torn off the paper like material in the back panel speaker.. cone or what ever...

what are some things i can get to really improve my set up??

im pushing the two cvx's with a 1220 watt logic 2 channel amp... i know its not much but just give me some suggestions... like tweeters? mids? highs? etc..

im new to audio you see and i appreciate all the help.

i mean... budget im not sure.. i run my own online websites and i can try to make more money by advertisements.. and i have to brand new 12' CVR kickers in the box from the store.. never used i can sell...

i just want to get as loud as a car could get haha.. llike system in a closed trunk

u can keep the cvx... not half bad speakers IMO but i also like the re's they sell some xxx speakers you could probably score a few on here and get a nice size ported box and u will SLAM

what do those sheets do? and..
you dont think a 3000 watt amp will blow the cvs kickers?
those sheets you need to put on your trunk they keep it drom rattlein as much. NEVER look at an amps MAX rating you will never see that out of any amp. That amp does 1500 RMS which would be 750 to each speaker which is a perfect match.

yes good suggestions here take them into consideration!!!

its 1500 you'll be fine!

Get some Alpine SPX-13REF 5.25" door speakers and power them with a 2 channel amp around 140wrms.

Thats what I have in my car. and no one in my school can even touch my highs. It gives me chills when its so loud.

But so do big crowds all chanting the same thing xD
no you can get way better for the money!!!

so try and get this amp then?

also... if i got some highs... do you HAVE to get a amp for them to work good? cant i just take out my stock speakers and hook them up??

also.. can you give me some links to the cheapest prices on highs?

or.... ARE THESE FOUR WORTH $50???

Those "sheets" are sound deadener. If you're seriously interested in car audio, you need to invest in that. It doesn't have to be Dynamat, but sound deadener is a must.

The amp I linked is 1,500 watts RMS @ 1 ohm. That's the EXACT power your Kickers are rated for (assuming they're 4 ohm dual voice coil subs)...

Yes, that MB Quart amp is very reliable and you'll be hard pressed to do better for the money.

If you get "highs", you'll want to amp them. Head units provide very little power, and any decent speakers are going to sound better amped. And no, you can't just take out your stock speakers and hook up "highs". At the very least you'll want to take the lazy way out and tap into the factory wiring behind your cd player (I don't like this method AT ALL).

The cheapest price for "highs" will get you sh*tty "highs". Buy something decent. You don't have to purchase the $350+ components that I linked, but why waste your money on something that costs $25 and sounds terrible?

No, I don't think the speakers you posted are worth $50. I hate coaxials...
