Help Me fix this problem...Pics

Should be pretty obvious whats going on here...but ill explain. After doing some testing this week I had some problems with my setup...TO NO FAULT OF THE BTL, My numbers were low...and Ill leave it at that. After talking with Nick from Fi, and also Chad Hicks, It became apparent that the problem lied in the box. Dual 4 inch aeros side firing in the box created a Semi-Wall with the flares, Cutting off 1/3 or so of the box. I did my best to render this in sketchup, but if you have ever worked in the program you know how hard it is to reproduce an aero port. So IMAGINE those ports in the desings WITH FLARES...you can see how they would create this problem. The box can be lengthened up to 4 more inches or so, if need be.

Lets not turn this into an OMG THE BTL MESSED UP THREAD...IT DIDNT, My Dumbass messed up. Scott and the Fi crew have been more than helpful.

Im looking for insight into better port placement, or if need be switch to a 6 inch aero (I know it would be better, but I see the 9 inch flare of the 6 incher doing the same thing.

On to the pics.

First off...General outside view of the box. ALSO NOTE Simply changing how the box is put together isnt going to help, becuase the box is not assembled the way it is pictured in sketchup...The fronts are full face baffles that actually cover the ends of the side and the top and bottom.

Here in lies the problem...Notice how the ports would block airflow to the rest of the box...This is good for the airflow out of the ports, but it throws the tuning way high.

Any suggestions are welcome, if you dont understand something, Please let me know and I can clarify, and So could Jntar and Djman37 if im off line, because they have a pretty good knowledge of this box as well, seeing as we built it together.

I have ideas... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I share on AIM tonight //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

External aero's are louder anyways //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif...

I know...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Just dont want 2 17inch pipes sticking up out of the box for a daily app....Up firing would be the only way to get the length I would need.

I got an idea too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

But it would require that you have a bigger competition box and then something else for daily, if thats something you would be willing to do.

You can hit me up on AIM as well.

the port is restricting half the box from air movement, how about making it a fart box then?

you could get creative and have the tube flex around the top of the box.

or you could just go to slot port

Omg The Btl Messed Up.....lawl 111111 N00b!!!!!!
